HoN Hero Spotlight: Moraxus

Word is the new champion, Irelia, Will of The Blades, will be a relatively tough melee DPS carry that becomes more and more powerful the more outnumbered in battle she is. Garen x2 levels of OP incoming get ready.

Also, her body makes absolutely negative anatomical sense.

Bladesurge: Irelia dashes forward to strike her target. If it kills the target, Bladesurge’s cooldown refreshes and half the mana cost is refunded.

Hiten Style: Irelia is skilled in the art of Hiten, passively giving her physical attacks health restoration. Activating Hiten Style adds true damage to her physical attacks for a short duration.

Equilibrium Strike: Irelia’s attack balances the scales, dealing damage and slowing the target. However, if the target has a higher Health % than Irelia, then the blow stuns the target instead.

Transcendent Blades (Ultimate): Irelia summons four spirit blades which she can fling at her enemies. These blades deal magic damage to enemies that they pass through, siphoning life from them and healing Irelia.

Ionian Fervor (Passive): Each nearby enemy champion (to a maximum of three) reduces the effectiveness of Crowd Control on Irelia.

Blizzard just recently announced their foray into the DotA world. A small package of in house mods are in development, including a Blizzard version of DotA built on the SC2 engine.

Valve announces Dota 2

Apparently the fine gentlemen at GameInformer were able to get a bit of Dota2 playing time. Word is that it’s “already amazing”. Check out their article here.

Despite Valves propensity to re-imagine and re-invent entire game mechanics (ie. TF classic vs TF2) they’re actually on record claiming the original DotA All-Stars mechanics to be untouched. Lead designer Erik Johnson is quoted as saying “Dota2 is basically Dota All-Stars with new technology”.

Lux Lady of Luminosity, skills leaked

A russian site has got some information about the brand new Champion, Lux, the Lady of Luminosity. Check the post out here.


(Passive) Illumination:Lux’s damaging spells illuminate the target for 6 seconds. Lux’s next attack ignites the debuff, dealing 20-180 (depending Lux’s level) magic damage to the target.

(Q)Light Binding – Lux releases a sphere of light that binds and deals damage(80/135/190/245/300(+AP*0.75)) to up to two enemy units, dealing 50% effect to the 2nd unit struck.

(W)Prismatic Wave – Fires a Prismatic Wave that bends the light around any friendly target it touches, stealthing them for 3 seconds. In addition, Lux gains passive cooldown reduction(3/6/9/12/15%).

(E)Lucent Singularity – Fires an anomaly of twisted light to an area, which slows(13/16.5/20/23.5/27%) nearby enemies. Lux can detonate it to damage(60/105/150/195/240(+AP*0.6)) enemies in the area of effect.

Finales Funkeln – After gathering energy, Lux fires a laser pulse that deals damage(250/350/450(+AP*0.9)) to all targets in the area.


New Hero, S2 says it’s NOT techies

S2 recently posted a model of their new hero…or heroes.

Despite the theme of the new hero, S2 has said that it will NOT be a port of techies, however, WILL be “blowing things up”…interesting.

  • Fix some loading bar funkiness
  • Fixed game hosts not being able to assign players from Hellbourne to Legion side when right clicking their portrait. Credit to Bangerz for this fix
  • K:D ratio now displays two digits after the decimal (for example K:D will be “1.58” instead of “1.6”)
  • Heroes will now fully turn toward their final goal even when pathing into deeply blocked areas
  • Change default lag threshold to 1000 ms from 500 ms
  • Fixed client not handling valid clan name tags that are 4 chars long.
  • Clients no longer precache the voice responses of enemy heroes
  • Muting a player will /ignore that player, and unmuting will /unignore.
  • Fixes the white icons when someone randoms. The random now happens before the load, not after
  • Fix for a few of the public game filters (mode, num players, map name, server type) to correctly save their settings. Credit to Bangerz for this fix
  • Kill streaks of 15 or more now play the “IMMORTAL!” announcer sound / message.

Mod Integration

  • Added UI_CMD’s GetFPS() and GetPing()
  • Hon now natively supports the “Mod Options” mod framework
  • HoN now natively supports the “Movable Frames” mod framework
    • Movable Frames now supports spectator mode
    • Cleanly integrated Movable Frames with Mod Options, so that the user can customize his movable frames the same way he would customize any other mod
  • The Replay Stats Button mod is now built in (Credit to BASH)
    • Adds a button to the Local Replays list to view the match stats
  • The Enhanced Buff Icons mod is now built in

Grimm’s Crossing

Skeleton Boss (NPC)

  • His castable root now ministuns on impact


Blood chalice

  • Mana returned from 150 to 100


  • Recipe removed one Great Arcana, added a 1000 recipe. ~4750 to 4150 cost
  • Added visual trail to silence state for some anti-juke fun.

Savage Mace

  • The proc can no longer propagate to illusions


  • Will no longer go on cooldown just from looking at someone, you now have to attack
  • Runes of the Blight can now be used and not put the item into cooldown

Sword of the High

  • Cost lowered from 3800 to 3400

Tablet of Command

  • Now applies a ministun on use to the target
  • The target is no longer silenced or perplexed, and can turn while being pushed



  • decreased str gain from 3.1 to 2.95
  • decreased dmg on ult, 200,300,400 (lvl1) to 175/250/325 and 350,450,550 (lvl2/3) to 300/375/450
  • When ultimate is in cd you no longer gain charges when enemies cast spells near you, instead you decrease the cd of your ultimate by 1 second per spell cast


  • Removed the 0.1s cooldown when a new charge is available for Rockets


  • Tweaked his attack for better feedback


  • Fixed a bug with hook and interaction with other projectile based movements
  • No longer gains strength from killing himself.
  • His own illusions should no longer steal strength from him when someone dies nearby

Doctor Repulsor

  • Attackspeed slow from Electric Frenzy is now -50 instead of -50%

Flint Beastwood

  • Money Shot’s will now auto-cancel if the target is greater than 1800/2300/2800 units away from you while you’re still channeling

Forsaken Archer

  • Will no longer spawn skeletons after she dies from a midair arrow


  • Fixed his glove getting snagged on buildings
  • Using the hook no longer stops the use of the ult


  • Fixed stun time of charge


  • He now leaves a black path behind himself while stalked


  • Steam Bath now disjoints on use

    • This is a temp bugfix to when someone won’t get silenced even if you can see them
    • It is possible it will be changed back to vision-limited once the code bug is fixed

Voodoo Jester

  • Fixed the bug causing Acid Cocktail to occasionally split into two
  • Sped up Acid Cocktail from 750 to 800 initial and 450 to 600 for the bounce

Witch Slayer

  • Can now only cast Power Drain on units with mana

Sona finally gets her new champion spotlight. Check out her abilities, playstyle, and recommended builds and items and all that fun stuff.

Seems similar in some ways to Udyr…really cool concept!

Power Chord (Passive): After 3 spell casts, Sona’s next attack will deal 80 + 20 x lvl magic damage, and reduce the damage the target deals by 30% for 3 seconds. Additionally, Sona’s Auras persist for 3 seconds after deactivating.

Aria of Perseverance (Passive Aura): Sona plays the Aria of Perseverance, increasing nearby allied champions armor and magic resist by 8/12/16/20/24. Active: Sona sends out healing melodies, healing Sona and the most wounded nearby allied champion by 50/75/100/125/150.

Hymn of Valor (Passive Aura): Sona plays the Hymn of Valor, increasing nearby allied champions damage and ability power by 8/12/16/20/24. Active: Sona fires bolts of sound, dealing 70/120/170/220/270 magic damage to the nearest two enemies (prioritizes champions).

Song of Discord (Passive Aura): Sona plays the Song of Discord, granting nearby allied champions 14/18/22/26/30 bonus movement mpeed. Active: Sona energizes nearby allies, granting them 14/18/22/26/30% movement speed for 1.5 seconds.

Crescendo (Active): Sona plays her ultimate chord, forcing enemy champions in a line in front of her to dance, taking 150/250/350(+0.7) magic damage over 2.5 seconds.
